Wambũi holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Languages of the Wider World (University of London - SOAS-UCL & CETL). She has an MA and a BA (Hons) in African Studies from SOAS and is fluent in Swahili Gĩkũyũ and English. Wambũi teaches Swahili to MPhil Postgraduates at the University of Cambridge, relief lectures at SOAS and teaches at the SOAS LC. Wambũi is also an actor (latest Prometheus) and an independent language researcher.
